Communications and Outreach Support to the Office of Transit Safety and Oversight
U.S. DOT, Federal Transit Administration
The Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) Office of Transit Safety and Oversight (TSO) works to build awareness of FTA’s safety mission by delivering a consistent message to industry stakeholders about the Agency’s safety priorities, programs, and policies. Under the current contract with FTA, MacroSys is tasked
with providing continual support in the areas of web development, technical writing, presentation creation, supportive research, stakeholder inquiries, public engagement and event planning, and status reporting. MacroSys communications experts work closely with TSO staff to ensure all deliverables are in-tune with the goals, priorities, and timelines of TSO. Examples of tasks completed to date include preparing presentations
and talking points for the Associate Administrator, Deputy Associate Administrator, and other TSO staff; editing various documents including memos, emails, letters, and presentations; monitoring social media to inform communications strategies; and writing blogs, FAQs, factsheets, and other written collateral for rulemaking communications.

MacroSys’s communications strategists designed, edited, and distributed these factsheets, which provide a quick and easy overview of rulemakings to FTA staff as well as external stakeholders.

This calendar is just one of the planning tactics employed by MacroSys to ensure projects are completed on time.

MacroSys oversees the social media sites for FTA’s TSO. As such, these Facebook and Twitter posts were created by MacroSys.

MacroSys developed and designed a presentation to inform key stakeholders about safety updates.
